NANCY ASPENLEITER
Nancy is a spiritual leader who empowers, inspires, and uplifts her audience to live the life they never thought possible through God’s grace and blessings. She brings an incredulous list of remarkable blessings in her own life and a unique perspective of perseverance and comedy to those in her spiritual community.

Nancy always wanted a pony in her childhood so it’s no surprise that her first job was working with horses while she served as the first female firefighter in her neighborhood - her career was off to the races shortly thereafter is no understatement. She then landed an accounting job with no accounting experience whatsoever at a corrections facility in Florida and gives a fascinating account of being promoted to Accounting Manager and eventually the Vice President of 13 juvenile correction facilities all over the US within three years.

The whispers of a personal conviction to serve the community as a police officer became increasingly louder, so off she went to the academy and earned her way up the ranks to Detective, Sergeant and eventually Captain in a community where she was known as the “police lady with the hair.” While her specialized training in gang resistance and violent crimes kept her on her toes, her love for the community was her passion and favorite memory of the job. She gives thanks to God for doing for her what she could not always do for herself during a career that taught her how to love in times of hatred, lead in divisiveness, give hope in times of despair, be resilient in change, and find laughter in every opportunity.

Nancy holds a B.S. degree in Public Administration that she acquired after returning back to college at the age of 50. She attended the New York Institute of Technology five years after high school with a full softball scholarship and still enjoys team participations in several sports.

In 2017 Nancy returned to her childhood town on Long Island for what she thought was a short time to care for her parents but God was laughing because he had other plans in mind. She quickly found herself surrounded and loved by a vast network of heroic women where she has been a steadfast leader, spiritual coach, inspiring speaker, friend, and influential mentor for the past five years. God sent her countless connections that have enabled her to facilitate the beginnings of the Nicky Gumbel Alpha Studies and a Recovery Bible Study, co-hosted a powerful women’s seminar on spirituality, and has completed the St. Ignatius 19th Annotation Spiritual Direction Retreat program hosted by the Sisters of St. Joseph taught by noted influential spiritual directors from around the country. Nancy was commissioned as a spiritual director in May of 2022.
